Here's what to expect when visiting Uptown Kids on a Sunday morning:

SUNDAY SCHOOL (9AM)

If you join us for Sunday School at 9AM (during the school year with a few breaks for holiday weekends), we have Nursery available (infants to 4 year olds) and Sunday School for pre-K to 5th Grade.

“Wait, where do I check my kids in?”

You will check in all your kids at our Check In Station in front of the nursery hallway. 

When you check in for the first time, we will ask for the following personal information (NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone):

• Parent/guardian name(s)
• Child's name
• Child's birthdate
• Home address
• Phone number
• Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your children

After finding your child’s name in the database, you and your child will be given matching name tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you hold onto the matching tag.

When you pick up your child from anything they checked in for, you must show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.

In the event that we need to contact you while your child is in our care, you'll receive a text message through our database system with necessary details.

You’re getting your kids checked in for Sunday School, but the greeter will ask you if you want to take your child to Children’s Church. What is that?

CHILDREN’S CHURCH

Children's Church is for Pre-K to 2nd Grade children during our 10:30 am worship service. 

Right before the sermon begins, children going to Children’s Church will be dismissed to two locations. Pre-K and Kindergarten children will head to the Lower Elementary Classroom on the second floor, and 1st and 2nd Grade children will go to the Cafe on the first floor. Parents are welcome to walk your child to Children's Church but are not required to. You can pick them up from their classrooms after the service ends with your matching tag.

But let’s get back to Sunday School!

SUNDAY SCHOOL LOCATIONS

For Nursery-aged children (infants through 4 years old), follow signs to the Check In Area. One of our greeters will meet your family and check your child into our system. Then, one of our volunteers will lead your child to their age-appropriate room. Nursery is available during the service as well. 

For children in elementary school:

• Children from pre-K to 1st Grade will follow signs to the Lower Elementary classroom on the second floor. 
• Children from 2nd to 4th Grade will follow signs past the nursery lobby to the Cafe on the first floor. 
• Children in 5th Grade meet in their own classroom inside the Nursery Hallway on the first floor. From the Check In Area, enter the Nursery Hallway and go to the classroom on the far left wall.
• For every class, Sunday School teachers will be there to greet and welcome them! After adult Sunday School is over, please pick up your kids at their classroom with your matching tag!

DURING THE WORSHIP SERVICE

In addition to Children's Church, Nursery (infants to 4 year olds) is available during the 10:30 worship service, and your kids can be checked into nursery at any point during the service.

We have a baby breakroom located on the 2nd floor for mothers with  young babies who might need a break during the worship service. This private room has a live audio feed from the service so you can listen while tending to your baby's needs. From the sanctuary, exit through the front right double doors and follow the signs.
